Lake O’ the Pines Fishing Report – September 15, 2026
This fishing report is given as a courtesy. It is mostly composed of my personal fishing experience, but may contain information from others. I have been on the water, and the crappie picture for this week is clear enough to write from what I am seeing myself. The lake is low, the daytime air is still summer-hot, and the Corps seasonal drawdown window is here — but the fish are still stacked where I expect them if you put in the work. Current Conditions at Lake O’ the Pines Water Clarity: No fresh mud report this week. With almost no rain in the recent stretch and release cut to a trickle, expect normal stain unless a local storm dirty up a creek arm. Water Temperature / Lake Temperature: Sources use those labels interchangeably — I did not find a separate official surface reading and a separate “lake temp” gauge for today. Who is this guy?
I have lived on Lake O’ the Pines for 11 years and I don’t get to fish as much as I would like, Probably 150 to 200 Days a year!!
I am not a Live Scope guy. I have nothing against them, I just don’t have one.
I primarily fish for Crappie, But I also fish for Bass when it gets hot and I can’t find the Crappie. Who doesn’t like that bass bite?
I do this fishing report as a courtesy and to let people know I have a cabin for rent on Johnson Creek.
