Lake O’ the Pines Crappie Fishing Report, January 15th, 2023
This report is provided my Marty Thomas, Fishing Guide on Lake O’ the Pines and Bob Sandlin.
Scott bought his father in law a trip to Lake O’ the Pines for Christmas. They cashed it in today in some just plain awful wind. The fish were still willing to bite when we could get a jig on them and they put together a fine box of fish using 1/4 oz jigs under a 1/4 oz slip sinker. We had our best luck tipping with rosey red minnows.
Catfish food on baited holes in 20 to 25 foot of water
Bass ( I don’t chase them myself) are reported good above the 155 bridge on chatter baits
Some Sand bass are starting to show up above the 259 bridge
